Having difficult conversations with families – online

The Early Years Learning Framework V2.0 (2022) highlights the importance of Educators and families working together in the best interests of children. They must share information safely and respectfully and engage in joint decision making. However, Educators are sometimes faced with the challenge of having difficult conversations with families. This workshop will explore:

 

-       Skills and strategies for approaching difficult topics with families.-       How to connect and communicate with families in a safe and respectful way.

Jennifer Ribarovski

 

Jennifer is the Managing Director of JR Education Consulting Services, providing support, guidance, professional development and presentations to the sector nationally and internationally. Jennifer has over 40 years’ experience, including in teaching and executive roles with the NSW Regulatory Authority and ACECQA, peak organisations and providers. Jennifer has taught at and provided consultancy services to Sydney University and the University of Western Sydney. She holds a Bachelor of ECE and a Master of Educational Leadership and Management with Distinction but is most proud of being a ‘squishy grandma’; a title generously bestowed on her by a four-year-old child in a centre.
