This interactive 1.5-hour session is designed to prepare incoming committee members for the year ahead by exploring the essentials of effective governance in early childhood services. Topics include the roles and responsibilities of committee members, compliance obligations under the Education and Care Services National Law, understanding and applying the service’s constitution, and strategies for effective decision-making, financial oversight, and risk management. Participants will leave with greater clarity and confidence to support their service throughout the year.
ABOUT OUR PRESENTERSELAA’s Member Solutions team bring specialist skills and extensive experience to these sessions. With background in management of early childhood services, industrial relations, human resource and early childhood teaching, they understand the challenges that committees of management face.Presented by ELAA in partnership with the Victorian Department of Education.
