Honorary Associate, Richard Rose will deliver this online workshop in September. Delivered over two 3-hour sessions, this will include new or updated tools reflecting the continuation of his direct work, learning from the children and young people he works with.

 

Richard, the Director of TLSWi (UK), is a leading expert on Therapeutic Life Story Work and working with ‘hard to reach’ children and young people as well as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Social Work and Social Policy at  Latrobe University and Honorary Associate at the Institute for Open Adoption Studies, University of Sydney. 

 

Delivered over two, 3-hour sessions, this workshop will provide attendees with a practice-rich experience focusing on breaking down and planning interventions for challenging cases.

Participants will be given an opportunity to explore ‘live’ cases with Richard, who will offer guidance and practical tasks to support your work. 

In preparation for this training, you will be asked to email us an overview of your case, including 1-2 questions. These are required by Friday September 19 emailed to [email protected] . This will allow Richard Rose to gather themes and common issues as well as speak to individual cases depending on the size of the group. 

 

Note: cases will be shared with other participants in the training.

 

Attendees will need to have textas, paper and a notepad available for the session. 

 

Learning outcomes

  • understand cases from a variety of perspectives 
  • consider a range of techniques and strategies that support effective case work 
  • awareness of approaches in planning and assessment to affect best outcomes for children and families.

 

This training is aimed specifically at practitioners undertaking and supporting direct complex case work with children and young people within the community services sector. 

Cost – $480.00 (incl. GST)

 

Payment MUST be made by credit card at the time of registration (VISA and Mastercard will be accepted). Your registration will not be confirmed unless payment has been processed. A confirmation/tax invoice will be issued upon registration to your nominated email address. 

 

Refunds will only be made when a written request for cancellation is received no less than 3 business days before the event. No refunds will be issued after this date however substitutions are welcome and must be provided in writing.
