Fraser Foundation Scholarship deadline extended – don’t miss out

The application deadline for the popular Fraser Foundation Scholarship program, which gives early childhood professionals financial support to undertake tertiary study, has been extended until Friday 2 May 2025.
Established with the vision of supporting passionate individuals pursuing a career in early childhood education, the scholarships of up to $25,000 per year (for up to four years), have been invaluable for many previous applicants, opening the door to a space which was once closed to them because of the financial pressures - something Little Scholars and Fraser Foundation founder Jae Fraser understands all too well.Mr Fraser, who describes himself as having come “from humble beginnings”, said he “had to go the long way around” to fulfill his dream of becoming an early childhood teacher, working to support himself while studying part time. “For me, this isn’t about simply looking after my own business; it’s about leaving a legacy that benefits the early childhood education sector holistically,” he said. “I want to do my part to ensure that we have a strong, adequate and enthusiastic workforce of early educators across the entire country for years to come.”
The Fraser Foundation is part of his broader commitment to supporting early childhood professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of children during their most critical years of development.
“Early educators play a vital role in shaping our youngest minds, and this scholarship exists to support those who are passionate about joining this essential profession,” Mr Fraser said. “If you’ve been thinking about applying, now is the time.”
While scholarship does have a set of criteria to meet, preference is given to those who can demonstrate a genuine commitment to working in early education, particularly in areas where there is a high demand for skilled educators.
With the early childhood education and care sector continuing to experience nationwide workforce shortages, scholarships like this one provide much-needed support to ensure more qualified educators not only enter the field but also stay in it.
