The Atlantis Group introduces comprehensive sports program to its network

The Atlantis Group has released a new program – TAG Sports – across its network of nine early learning services and ten outside school hours care (OSHC) services in Western Australia.

 

TAG has an established presence in the WA market, having operated services for nearly 30 years, headed up by father and son team Bob and Rory Hindle. Their latest offering, TAG Sports, aims to “redefine how children in Western Australia experience physical activity.”

 

Under the TAG Sports offering new roles have been added to the 430 strong staff network, including Lead Sports Coordinator and a number of Sports Coaches. 

 

The program has been inspired by SportAUS and the Physical Literacy Framework and uses play to teach essential life skills, including  problem-solving, communication and emotional regulation through familiar sports enjoyed by many Australian children such as AFL, athletics, basketball, netball, softball, and tennis.

 

Sports rotate every three weeks, with the aim of helping children attending TAG services to discover a passion for movement and to refine their skills. 

 

Offered as part of the program, there is no additional charge for parents to access the program.  

 

Since being integrated into the TAG OSHC network the program has been well received.
