KU Children’s Services appoints Helen Conway as Board Chair

KU Children’s Services has announced the appointment of esteemed workplace gender equality leader Helen Conway as its Board Chair.
Ms Conway was selected for the position with a vision of expanding the work the organisation is renowned for in the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector, including empowering families to access affordable, high-quality education and care for their children.As a founding Director of the Australian Gender Equality Council and former CEO of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, Ms Conway has a storied history of paving an equitable path forward for women in the workplace.
“I am thrilled to be appointed as Board Chair of KU Children’s Services and look forward to growing the supportive, inclusive and innovative workplace environment the organisation has cultivated over many years,” Ms Conway said.
“The ECEC sector has an enormous responsibility when it comes to providing the foundation for growth and development of the current and future generations of Australian children,” she added.
“We have a great opportunity to continue to set the standard, with integrity and a deep commitment to what is best for children. I look forward to supporting KU Children’s Services as Chair, to navigate what is an increasingly complex and competitive sector, while remaining true to our values, mission and purpose.”
KU Children's Services Chief Executive Officer Christine Legg said she looks forward to expanding on KU’s work in terms of early childhood education reform and workplace best practices with Ms Conway in the Board Chair position.

KU Children’s Services has over 130 services programmes operating across Australia, specialising in long day care, kindergarten, preschool, family services, early intervention services and adult migrant education programs.
