Live outside a major city or town? You’re invited to apply for an RRES scholarship

Australians wishing to complete undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational education courses from Certificate IV to PhD level are being invited to apply for Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships (RRES).
The scholarships provide up to $18,000 to students undertaking study in a variety of disciplines, and a further $500 is available for students who undertake a relevant internship.
Students can study on campus or online from six months full-time up to eight years part-time.
“The Government recognises the importance of ensuring all students, regardless of where they live, can access the education they need and acknowledges the financial barriers faced by students living in regional and remote areas” said Federal Assistant Minister for Education, Senator Anthony Chisholm.
“The Australian Government is making it possible for more Australians living outside our major cities and towns to participate in tertiary education by offering 360 additional scholarships to students commencing study in 2023.”
The Australian Universities Accord will provide a long-term plan for higher education in Australia, including recommendations to improve higher education opportunities and outcomes for underrepresented cohorts, including students living in regional and remote areas.
