Hays launches free online training portal to support ECEC

Recruitment firm Hays Education has launched a free online training portal to support those working in early childhood education and care (ECEC) and other sectors and industries to “grow the skills they need to function effectively and thrive in the face of COVID-19”.
The Hays Thrive portal supports businesses of all sizes to learn more about best practice in the areas of remote working, wellbeing and health and safety.
Designed to be completed as part of a busy schedule, the courses cover elements such as scheduling and improving efficiency when working remotely, physical and mental wellbeing, and best practice when it comes to health and hygiene.
The portal is backed by a learning management system, which allows employers to assign training, track the level of completion, and create personalised learning which suits the needs of their team.
Nick Deligiannis, Managing Director of Hays Australia & New Zealand, said he was hopeful that the platform would “help power the world of work as it changes daily by supporting employers and their staff to manage their workloads and productivity, giving teams the tools they need to get through this challenging time.”
The inclusion of a wellbeing component was a considered and deliberate one by Hays, with Mr Deligiannis saying it was “a vital inclusion to help employers put their staff’s mental health first, something we all need to be aware of during these uncertain times.”
New courses will be added to the platform over time, to support organisations to upskill their staff regularly in response to changing market conditions and trends.
“What’s great about this training is that it’s more than just theory. It also includes quizzes, videos and tools to make courses interactive, engaging and memorable” Mr Deligiannis added.
Once an organisation has registered to use the platform, training can be assigned to employees. There are no limitations on the number of employees who can access the system.
The platform is a joint collaboration with GO1. To gain access, register here.
