Two decades of devotion: Childcare centre honours educator

Queensland Childcare Services (QCCS) celebrated a remarkable milestone as The Prince Charles Hospital Early Education Centre Nominated Supervisor, Ms Trudi Franks, marked 20 years of dedicated service supporting children and families.
From an early age, Trudi knew she wanted to work with children and be a positive role model, a passion shaped by her belief every child deserved to feel seen and supported.
Over two decades, Trudi has been an inspiration for the QCCS family, recognised for her deep commitment to positive early learning outcomes and the genuine care she brings to every child. Her influence as a leader has also shaped generations of young learners and supported countless educators to grow in their practice.
QCCS General Manager Laura Faalili said Trudi’s milestone reflected the profound impact one educator can have on a community.
“Trudi embodies the heart of QCCS. Her leadership and dedication to her role have created a nurturing environment where children feel supported and inspired,” Ms Faalili said.
“She has guided families through their earliest years of education and has been a mentor to so many fellow educators across the organisation. Twenty years of service is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate her.”
Colleagues described Trudi as thoughtful and deeply committed to ensuring every child felt valued. Her ability to build strong relationships with families and her team make her a trusted and respected leader within the centre and across QCCS.
Reflecting on her career, Trudi said she felt privileged to support children during their most formative years, and to have grown alongside QCCS through roles at Chermside, Ashgrove, and now TPCH.
“It’s been an honour to watch so many children grow,” Trudi said.
“I’m grateful for the families who have trusted us, and for the incredible team who make our centre so special. Being a part of the QCCS family for 20 years has been a joy.”
Trudi said her proudest moments were the relationships built with families, often celebrating each child’s journey from babyhood through to kindergarten graduation.
QCCS is pleased to recognise Trudi’s contribution and celebrate the legacy she continues to build through her leadership and unwavering commitment to childhood education.
