QCCS marks 35th anniversary with extraordinary long service tenure - 100 team members over 10 year mark

Queensland Childcare Services (QCCS) is marking its 35th anniversary by recognising the educators and team members who have spent more than a decade with the organisation with the provider saying more than 100 employees have worked with QCCS for between 10 and 26 years.
General Manager Laura Faalili said the anniversary was an opportunity to recognise the people behind its early learning centres. Among them is a director who attended her service as a baby.
“One of our centre directors came full circle last year when she was appointed director, having attended the same centre as a baby,” Ms Faalili said. “We know how important stability is for our little learners, and it also provides comfort to parents.”
Ms Faalili also pointed to ongoing professional development as part of the organisation’s approach to supporting its workforce. “We have always believed that investing in our people was essential to providing the highest standards of education and care,” she said.
Service milestones span more than two decades
The anniversary announcement recognises educators, centre directors and support staff across South East Queensland. QCCS says 65 per cent of its approximately 800 employees are long-serving team members.
Among those recognised is Lisa Harris from Winston Glades Early Education Centre, who marked 26 years with the provider. Ms Faalili herself celebrated 21 years with the organisation.
The service milestones also included directors at Bethania, Th ePrince Charles Hospital and Morayfield early learning centres who had each spent at least 20 years with QCC. Other directors recognised across the network marked between 11 and 19 years with the organisation.
Established in 1991, QCCS says it opened its first early learning centre the following year. Its anniversary recognition includes staff whose careers have spanned much of that history.
