Moreton Bay Early Learning Conference returns in 2026, bringing connection, capability and community to the region

In a sector often stretched by workforce pressures, rising costs and limited access to meaningful professional development, something quietly powerful has been growing in the Moreton Bay Region.
What began as a local initiative to bring Early Childhood Educators together has evolved into a sector-led movement. One that is redefining how early childhood professionals connect, learn and feel seen in their work.
The Moreton Bay Early Learning Conference (MBELC) returns in 2026 with its new theme, “Journey to Emerald City,” inviting educators to step away from the day-to-day demands of their roles and into a space designed for reflection, courage and collective growth.
Following a sold-out 2025 conference, demand is already building, with early bird tickets now available for a limited time.
But MBELC is more than a conference.
It is a response to a gap; one many educators know all too well.
For too long, high quality professional development has required travel, time away from services, and significant financial investment. MBELC was created to shift that narrative, delivering a high-calibre, deeply engaging experience right here in the Moreton Bay Region, making it accessible to the very people who need it most.
And the impact reaches far beyond the conference day itself.
By bringing together educators, service leaders, training organisations and local partners, MBELC is actively strengthening the early learning ecosystem within the region. It supports workforce capability, fosters collaboration across services, and contributes to a more connected, confident and inspired ECEC community.
In turn, this investment flows directly back to local children and families, enhancing the quality of care, relationships and learning experiences across the region.
The 2026 program will once again feature keynote speakers, interactive workshops and opportunities for genuine connection, creating space not just for professional development, but for shared stories, real conversations and renewed purpose.
The “Journey to Emerald City” theme reflects the path many educators walk each day; navigating challenges, searching for answers, and ultimately discovering that the courage, heart and wisdom they seek already exists within themselves and their community.
As the conference continues to grow, its purpose remains unchanged: to create something meaningful, grounded and genuinely valuable for the sector.
Early bird tickets are now available for a limited time, with strong demand expected following last year’s sold-out event.
