Stop scrolling – New videos upskilling parents
Parenting is the ultimate learn-on-the-job gig. That’s why Raising Children Network has launched a series of videos to give Australian parents and carers quick and entertaining ways to get trusted answers to common parenting questions.
Three series of new made-for-socials videos will help parents and carers cut through the noise on the internet straight to trusted information about the most-searched parenting topics such as first foods, sleep and toilet training.
The short-form video series are adaptations of trusted Raising Children Network content, optimised for social media delivery in engaging and educational formats.
Scroll Busters gives families the facts they need, fast. Every episode covers one milestone and answers four key questions with practical tips – in less than 60 seconds per question.
Show Me, Don’t Tell Me is hosted by fellow parent, Aaron Pereira, and packed with practical demos for families in the thick of it. In every episode, we take one step of the journey and give you three essential how-tos, so families have got the basics covered.
Late Night Notes is the podcast that answers the questions keeping parents and carers up at night. In every episode, our host, journalist, author and mum of four Madeleine Grummett is joined by an after-hours expert to unpack a late night note based on families’ real experiences.
The video series were developed by Matterworks with support from a funding boost from the Australian Government, to deliver reliable information to parents and carers where they are.
“We know that around 85% of parents and carers go to the internet looking for parenting information, it’s a very crowded space and it can be hard for parents to know what information to trust,” Raising Children Network Director Derek McCormack says.
“This new made-for-socials video series is adapted from Raising Children Network’s evidence-based and up-to-date information for Australian families. The videos are entertaining as well as educational – delivering reliable information to parents and carers where they are.’’
All three series have launched on the Raising Children Network’s YouTube channel.
