Invitation for families to share their appreciation for Australia’s early childhood educators
In celebration of Early Childhood Educators’ Day 2025, the Australian Childcare Alliance is warmly inviting families with children in early learning services to play a part in their upcoming “Australia says thank you!” national video series.
Families are invited to create a short thank-you video, expressing their gratitude to all educators across Australia, for inclusion in this year’s “Australia Says Thank You” compilation.
The resulting collage video will be aired nationally during the week of Early Childhood Educators’ Day, via the event website and social media channels.
This is a wonderful opportunity for families to say thank you, whilst also highlighting what they and their children love about their early childhood educators, and how these educators have positively impacted their child’s development.
Whether it’s nurturing social skills, supporting individual needs, or simply making a child feel valued and safe, hearing from parents can help Australia’s early childhood educators know how much they are appreciated.
Creating and submitting a video is simple. Families can use their smartphones to record a short message, however simple.
When expressing their thanks, parents may like to give some thought to the following prompt questions:
- How have early childhood educators positively influenced your child’s development?
- In what ways do educators support your child’s unique needs and interests?
- How have educators helped your child develop social skills and friendships?
- Can you share a story where an educator’s support made a difference?
- What words of appreciation would you like to send to Australia’s early childhood educators?
Family videos can be uploaded via the VidDay platform here by Friday, 22 August.
The Australian Childcare Alliance would appreciate if you could please share this message with others who might want to get involved, and help celebrate the incredible work of early childhood educators across Australia!
