Educators invited to share their stories for national video celebrating Early Childhood Educators’ Day: Closes Friday 15 August

As part of this year’s Early Childhood Educators’ Day celebrations on Wednesday 3 September, the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) is inviting educators across Australia to share their passion for the profession through a short “selfie” video.
The initiative aims to capture the dedication, joy and commitment educators bring to their roles every day. Educators are invited to reflect on what drives you, what inspires you, and what makes working in early childhood education and care so meaningful.
Selected clips will be compiled into a collaborative video montage, showcasing the diverse voices and experiences of early childhood educators nationwide.
The final video will be shared widely across the early learning sector and beyond, shining a spotlight on the incredible work of educators and the difference they make.
Share your story
Whether you’re just starting out or have been working in early learning for years, this is your moment to celebrate your profession, your colleagues, and your impact. Educators are encouraged to film a short video (up to one minute) responding to one or more of the following prompts:
-
What attracted you to the role of early childhood educator?
-
What do you enjoy most about your role?
-
What do you most enjoy about your work day?
-
How does teamwork shape your day-to-day experience?
-
What impact do you hope to have on the children you work with?
Celebrating passion and teamwork
ACA CEO Paul Mondo said the project is a unique opportunity to shine a light on the important work of early childhood educators and to celebrate the relationships they build with children, families and colleagues.
To further recognise participants, ACA will award three “Together We All Shine” merchandise gift packs to educators whose videos are selected for the final montage.
How to participate
Educators wishing to contribute can submit their videos via the official upload link: Submit your video here by Friday 15 August 2025.
Help showcase the heart of early childhood education. Your story matters and your voice deserves to be heard.
