Global early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider MindChamps will add 60 new long day care and preschool services to the Victorian sector over the next six years thanks to a partnership with JAGM Capital, with support from Northgate Developments.

Northgate Developments has been brought on board as a strategic partner to help bring the ambitious plan to fruition. Leveraging their expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects, Northgate will assist in the construction and rollout of the centres, ensuring each location is purpose-built to meet both regulations and also the standards of a MindChamps Early Learning Centre.

“We’re thrilled to expand MindChamps’ proven early childhood education model into Victoria,” David Chiem, Founder, Executive Chairman & Group CEO of MindChamps said.

“Since our beginnings as a research centre in Sydney in 1998, our Social Charter has been to “challenge and lift education standards globally and to provide educational opportunities to those who would not otherwise have the means.”

“This collaboration with JAGM and Northgate Developments will not only bridge the gap in the current childcare sector but also ensure that children in Victoria are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in the age of AI and beyond.”

For JAGM Capital Managing Director Michael Bronfman, the project has personal significance for many of his team who are parents.

“We understand the profound responsibility of providing the very best for our children,” he said.

“It’s this personal commitment that led us to notice a significant gap in the Australian childcare sector—one that many families are unknowingly navigating. At first, we didn’t fully grasp the difference between genuine early learning education and what we now understand as ‘childcare.’ However, our perspective completely shifted when we visited Singapore and witnessed MindChamps’ award-winning curriculum firsthand — a curriculum that’s been hailed as the Education Movement of the 21st Century. This transformative experience inspired us to bring this groundbreaking approach to Victoria.”

Angelo De Bortoli, Managing Director of Northgate Developments, said the company is “proud to play a key role in this game-changing initiative.”

“Our team is excited to contribute to creating environments that will not only serve as high-quality learning spaces but will also provide families with the foundation they need to succeed in a fast-evolving world,” he said.
