Dr Lesley Jones confirmed as Affinity’s new Chief Compliance & Quality Officer

Affinity Education Group has promoted Dr Lesley Jones, formerly its Head of Education, to the position of Chief Compliance and Quality Officer.
In congratulating Dr Jones on her promotion, Chief Executive Officer Tim Hickey said her positive influence on Affinity to date is unique and deeply appreciated.
“Lesley’s biggest impact has been in the development, launch and implementation of Affinity’s Lifelong Learning Curriculum,” Mr Hickey said.
“She’s an outstanding leader who finds common ground with everyone in our business, motivating them to elevate their outcomes.”
“I look forward to seeing her take us ‘above and beyond’ with this new opportunity.”
Dr Jones’ progression through the Affinity ranks underscores leadership quality
Dr Jones joined Affinity as a Senior Adviser, Pedagogy and Practice in 2019 in a newly created role that included providing pedagogical and practice advice to the Group’s early childhood teachers (ECTs), offering career development and training opportunities and working closely with quality advisors across Australia.
Since then she has broadened and deepened Affinity’s educational support and quality capabilities whilst building and then overseeing a national team of advisors.
In her new role, Dr Jones will be responsible for overseeing Affinity’s ongoing focus around safety, compliance and quality outcomes across its portfolio of more than 230 centres nationally.
“This is such an exciting opportunity to continue to influence our people to strive for excellence for the benefit of children who attend our centres,” she said.
“I must admit, the invitation to take up the role came just as I was considering partial retirement, however the chance to continue advocating for educators and children from a slightly different lens to my education role was too good to pass up.”
