12 new or expanded kindergartens on or near schools are on the way for Victoria

Victoria will welcome 12 new or expanded kindergartens in early 2025, Minister for Early Childhood and Pre-Prep Ingrid Stitt announced during a recent visit to Broadmeadows Valley Primary School.
The developments, across the 12 sites, will add almost 900 more free kindergarten places in growing communities. New or expanded kinders on existing school sites will be located at:
- Tootgarook Primary School
- Devon Meadows Primary School
- Kerang South Primary School
- Mildura South Primary School
- Echuca Primary School
- Thornbury High School
- Wallan Secondary College
- Broadmeadows Valley Primary School
- Wonthaggi North Primary School.
Kinders on new school sites will open in 2025 at Alexander Boulevard Primary School (interim name), Riverdale North Primary School (interim name), and Wollert Central Primary School (interim name).
“With early design work now underway, these new kinders will give more families across Victoria easier access to quality early years education and make the transition to school easier,” Ms Stitt said.
