Story House Early Learning receives coveted Great Place To Work® certification

Story House Early Learning has been named a Great Place To Work® by the Melbourne based organisation of the same name that has become a global authority on quantifying employee experience and recognising great places to work.
“After a highly detailed process, and a sum total of over 20,000 questions to our team members on topics such as justice, inclusion, balance, welfare, safety and opportunity, Story House Early Learning has been awarded Great Place To Work® Australia New Zealand Pty Ltd certification,” Chief Operating officer Craig Alchin said.
“Well done to our unbelievably brilliant service leaders, educators and team members as well as our Head of People and Culture, Kate Ludwig, our National Operations Manager, Nicole Spillman, and our Head of Quality – Suzie Wood and their teams.”
The Great Place to Work Institute has published a definitive annual list of the best places to work in Australia since 2008 and recognise Great Place To Work Certified™ companies and the Best Workplaces™ in over 100 countries around the world, including the 100 Best Companies to Work For® list published annually by Fortune Magazine.
The organisation uses a two step methodology that involves a comprehensive app delivered employee experience survey conducted over a two week period and a long form culture brief that is focused on the employing company.
At the heart of its model is an understanding that the definition of a great workplace is one where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.
Results of the employee experience survey and culture brief are measured against a rating index that provides insights as to the degree of high trust work experiences for all employees across the Group.
At this stage Story House, who will soon operate close to 50 long day care centers across Australia, is the only early learning provider to have received the Great Place To Work® certification and joins major global brands such as Microsoft, Salesforce and Ralph Lauren to name a few that have also obtained the certification.
