OSHC Establishment Grants still available for 2023 – attention Victorian services

The Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Establishment Grant initiative provides grant funding to Victorian Government schools delivering primary-aged education without an existing OSHC program. The initiative aims to improve the availability of OSHC services across Victoria, ensuring that all children and families are able to access programs on their school site or in their local area.
Round four of grants are due to open in 2023, offering an opportunity for up to 100 schools to access up to $75,000 to support the establishment of a new OSHC service in 2024 (Round 4A). Successful schools in Round 4 will commence service delivery in Term 1, 2024.Additional funding is available to outer regional, remote and special schools, or schools applying in partnership with another school or for multiple campuses in Round 4A.
Schools in receipt of grants can choose to either establish a school council delivered service, engage a third party OSHC provider to run the service, or provide transport to an existing service.
For those schools who already have an on-site OSHC but who do not offer a full complement of services (i.e. before school care, after school care and vacation care) can also apply for funding to expand their service to cover the sessions not currently offered (Round 4B). These schools can apply for a maximum of $75,000.
