Only About Children confirms Melanie Leijer as new Chief Operating Officer

Early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider Only About Children has confirmed that Melanie Leijer has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Group.
In a short statement posted on social media platform Linked In, a representative from OAC said Ms Leijer has “extensive experience in functional and leadership roles across professional services, multimedia, veterinary, property and the retirement living sectors. She is passionate about developing people, championing change, building collaborative and innovative cultures and making a difference.”
Ms Leijer is expected to play an instrumental role in leading the end to end operations of the organisation and driving its mission to empower every child and team member to reach their full potential.
Prior to joining OAC Ms Leijer held a number of senior operational roles including Chief Operating Officer at VetPartners Australia and New Zealand, General Manager at Boyce Chartered Accountants and Head of Village Management and Head of Business Operations at Lendlease.
More recently and alongside her role at VetPartners Ms Leijer practiced as an Executive Coach with McCarthy Mentoring.
Ms Leijer is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
