Grant opportunity alert – Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) Open Competitive Round 3

The Australian Government, via the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) has approved funding of $117 million (GST exclusive) from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2024 for the Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) Open Competitive Round 3 grant opportunity.
The funding aims to support early childhood education and care (ECEC) services to address barriers to participation, and has a particular emphasis on disadvantaged and vulnerable families and communities.
In order to apply for funding an ECEC service must, at the time of application lodgement, be a Child Care Subsidy approved provider of an approved child care service, and:
- be located in, or servicing families from a CCCF Priority Area; OR
- service a regional, remote or very remote area; OR
- provide specialised childcare services to a vulnerable or disadvantaged sector of its community; OR
- have been previously funded under CCCF Round 1 or 2.
Funding will be provided under three elements to fund specific activities. The elements are (in order of grant funding priority):
- Sustainability Support
- Community Support
- Capital Support.
Applications for Round 3 opened yesterday, 13 January 2021, and will close 22 February 2021.
