Andrew Hume confirmed as new Acting CEO of ECMS

Early Childhood Management Services (ECMS) the Victorian based not for profit early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider has confirmed the appointment of Andrew Hume as their new Acting Chief Executive Officer effective 9 June 2020.
Mr Hume will join ECMS with substantial ECEC experience having previously been the Chief Executive Officer of Gowrie Victoriafrom 2013 to 2020 and prior to that Chief Operating Officer of Goodstart Early Learning from 2011 to 2013.
Whilst at Gowrie Victoria Mr Hume was instrumental in transforming the organisation into the medium sized sustainable social enterprise that it is today, despite a challenging operating environment and ongoing funding headwinds.
Mr Hume is also a representative on a variety of early childhood education and care (ECEC) committees and advisory groups, one of which is the Parenting Research Centre where he has been Chair of the Board of Directors for two years and a Board Member for four years.
Commenting on his appointment Mr Hume said “I am honoured to have been selected to lead ECMS over and further strengthen its delivery of high quality education and care across Victoria. I look forward to ensuring ECMS has a sustainable business model that fosters longevity and addresses the diverse needs of children, their families and the broader community.”
