Early Childhood Management Services (ECMS), the Melbourne based not for profit early childhood education and care provider, has confirmed that CEO Kim Bertino has tendered her resignation with the mutual agreement of the Board of Directors, effective 18 May 2020.
Ms Bertino joined ECMS in March 2018 having spent nearly nine years at KU Children’s Services where she held General Manager roles in Professional Services and Learning and Early Education Professional Practice.
Ms Bertino joined ECMS in March 2018 and was instrumental in refreshing the organisation’s vision, purpose, values and strategic direction which culminated in the release of a new strategy centred around a core vision that “every child is able to realise their right to a strong foundation for lifelong success.”
Commenting on Ms Bertino’s contribution during her term a statement from ECMS thanked Kim for her leadership and commitment over the past two years, noting her wealth of experience in the early childhood sector and that during her time as CEO, “she has been instrumental in advocating universal access of high-quality education and care for all children.”
ECMS has placed an interim chair in the role whilst recruitment for Ms Bertino’s position takes place.
