ACA NSW issues a reminder about closure

ACA NSW has issued a reminder to services around the replacement of popular website which is being replaced with in light of the changes to child care subsidy (CCS) earlier this year.

Early childhood education and care (ECEC) services must update their details on the new website, ACA NSW has said, for the following reasons:

  1. In order to comply with the Family Assistance Law, which specifies that service providers must keep fee information, vacancies and operating hours up to date in the CCS system. Financial penalties may apply.
  2. To ensure that the service gets priority placement in the search result rankings on the Child Care Finder.

Services will be emailed a password to access to the new Child Care Finder website, which has not yet been launched to the general public. Entering the suburb of a service will bring up details of all services in the area, allowing services the opportunity to revise details before the website is launched.

ACA NSW reports that the Australian Department of Education and Training (DET) encourage service providers to update details such as fees, vacancies, operating hours and contact information in the CCS system which will then flow through to the Child Care Finder website. These updates can also be made through a third-party software system, if applicable.
