Banyan Park is more than just Norfolk Island’s only early childhood education and care
service—it’s a vital community hub where our youngest residents begin their lifelong journey of
learning. Established in the 1970s as a preschool, Banyan Park has grown with our community,
opening a new architect-designed building in 2020 with support from a Building Better Regions
Fund grant.
Nestled in a picturesque setting with ocean views and lush surroundings, we provide a nurturing environment where children aged 0-5 can thrive. Each day, Banyan Park welcomes ~55 children into a space designed to inspire curiosity and foster development through play-based learning.
Our dedicated team of 15 passionate educators is committed to delivering high-quality
education and care, ensuring that each child’s individuality is celebrated and emotional
well-being is prioritised.
At Banyan Park, we understand the importance of strong community ties. As a
community-focused, not-for-profit service, we actively engage with families and local residents
to build a supportive network that enriches the lives of everyone involved. Operating under the
National Quality Framework, we are currently transitioning to Queensland’s educational
jurisdiction, which will enhance our ability to provide high-quality educational outcomes.
We are committed to being a cornerstone of the Norfolk Island community, where children are
encouraged to explore, learn, and grow in a safe and inclusive environment. By investing in our
children, we are investing in the future of our community, nurturing the next generation of
thinkers, leaders, and creators.
