The Role – Permanent OSHC Manager on the Gold Coast

Amaze is seeking a suitably experienced Outside School Hours Care Leader/Nominated Supervisor who can provide open communication, staff skill development and the advocacy for children. Able to build upon all relationships with school, children, families and team members, this experienced leader will be an integral member of the Amaze Leadership team.

The Tasks

  • Team Leadership
  • Team guidance and management
  • Use of excellent communication skills
  • Ability to have fun and be a positive role model to children and team members
  • Team collaboration and supporter
  • Advocate for children of all backgrounds
  • OSHC experienced Leader
  • Able to facilitate Inclusion support
  • Provide applicable knowledge for Active orders and Mandatory reporting
  • Fulfill administration and reporting tasks
  • Proactive community minded Amaze Ambassador

The Requirements

The successful applicant would have the following:

  • Current Paid Blue Card
  • Minimum Diploma in children’s services or community service or ACECQA equivalent as well as relevant First Aid certificates
  • Ability to write programs, schedule activities and a QIP
  • Previous proven experience in a similar role
  • Team management experience with fair, reasonable and balanced ability
  • Excellent time management
  • Practical knowledge of Mandatory Reporting obligations
  • Able to foster caring, nurturing, and positive relationships between children, young people, and staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • To role model and guide positive behaviour expectations
  • Caring and community minded in building positive relationships with children, families, and school contacts
  • Exercise integrity, professionalism in challenging situations
