McArthur is partnering with Bower Education seeking a dynamic, passionate, and engaging Director in Early Years for their Wanslea Nursery School & Early Learning Centre.

The Centre:

Wanslea is a 90 place long day-care centre and has a long-standing presence within the local community. It is located six kilometres from central Adelaide in the South Eastern suburbs. Wanslea provides the perfect place to feel nurtured, connected and inspired – a home away from home. The centre is easily accessible by bus and car.


The Role:

Bower Education sees the building and maintaining of trusting relationships with children, families and with staff, as the foundation of the Director’s role.

As the Centre Director of Wanslea, you will be well rounded with exceptional organisation skills, communication, operational skills while leading with a hands-on approach.

You will provide a warm and caring culture, whilst being respectful of the needs of families, educators, and children.

  • Working history of performance management, team development and supervision
    while maintaining a positive team environment
  • Lead and develop a team of educators and teachers to deliver high-quality education
    and care
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement collaborating closely
    with the CEO and leadership.
  • Coordinate daily operations of the centre, including but not limited to staffing, programming, health, and safety by following policies and procedures maintaining and upholding policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff, children, and families
  • A strong focus on Reggio Emilia philosophies and play-based practises



Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood or Advanced Diploma / Diploma in Early Childhood and Community Services
  • First Aid HLTAID004 Certificate
  • RRHAN’s Certificate
  • WWC Check current and valid
  • Understanding of – Xplor, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional understanding of Education Care Services and National Regulations
  • High level understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
