This parent managed service in the Woollahra area is looking for an experienced OSHC Coordinator to join their well-established team.

This service believes OSHC should be an inspiring & supportive environment where each individual feels welcome & has the opportunity to grow & develop.

The Coordinator will be responsible for embedding three key factors into the service & their everyday practice; child engagement, leadership of the team, and business administration.

  • Full time | Block Shifts (although flexibility to meet the service needs will be expected)

What are we looking for?

Looking for an individual that understands, adheres, and promotes The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. In your position, you will create a culture, adopt strategies, and take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people.

Child engagement

  • Someone who can lead the team with the support of the Educational Leader in implementing quality, developmentally appropriate programs that allow children to flourish.
  • Someone who can develop strong relationships with children built on respect, patience & an understanding of child development.
  • Someone who has an excellent knowledge and understanding of the My Time Our Place Framework & the National Quality Framework.


Leadership of the team

  • Someone who is passionate and personable, and who can mentor and guide their team in their professional practice.
  • Someone who will be present at the service – families, children, educators, school and other stakeholders need to know you as the face of the service.


Business administration

  • Someone with strong communication skills.
  • Someone who can continue to build strong relationships with all stakeholders, including the parent management team, school executives & the wider community.
  • Ensuring the service maintains quality and compliance across the 7 quality areas of the NQS.
  • Being responsible for the day-to-day management of the service operations.
  • As a parent managed service, a high level of autonomy is expected from the Coordinator.


Prior experience / qualifications / essential criteria:

  • CHCPRT001Identify and respond to children and young people at risk – Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain.
  • HLTAID004or HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • At least 1 year experience in an OSHC leadership position, Assistant Coordinator, Coordinator and/or Director role.
  • Experience in a parent management led service.
  • A qualification in Children Services and/or School Aged Care is not essential but will be looked upon fondly.
  • Proof of vaccination status against COVID-19.
  • NSW Working with Children Check applies for this position.
