We are looking for a passionate, and enthusiastic leader to join this inclusive and collaborative OSHC service in Ashgrove. Run by a supportive P&C and managed by a highly knowledgeable and involved Operations Manager, you will be very well supported in your Coordinator position.

We are looking for a leader who can guide and mentor the team in their professional practice & embed the services values in day-to-day operations. This service values community inclusion and engagement and is looking for someone to foster these ideals.

It is important the Coordinator is available and approachable for families, educators & children during operation hours. Being visible on the floor is an important part of this position to ensure collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders and in-turn provide a high quality, play based learning program.

Why this role?

  • Full-time position | 38 hours per week
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the service
  • Well above award wages $75,000-$90,000 (negotiable for the right candidate depending on qualifications & experience)
  • Licensed for under 110 children

  • Flexible working hours (block or split shifts)

  • Minimum of 15 off the floor hours per week

What are we looking for?

Looking for an individual that understands, adheres, and promotes The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. In your position, you will create a culture, adopt strategies, and take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people.

  • Someone who holds a Diploma in Children’s Services (Early Childhood or School aged care)
  • Someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an OSHC leadership position e.g., Director, Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, Educational Leader etc.
  • Someone who is passionate about educating & caring for school aged children
  • Someone who is reliable, driven & can work towards meeting KPI’s
  • Someone with a strong understanding of the NQF and all it encompasses including the guiding principles
  • Someone who is visible to all stakeholders and is approachable
  • Someone who can offer guidance and support to their team
  • Someone with is passionate and personable and who can mentor and guide their team in their professional practice
  • Someone who can work closely with and communicate effectively with the school principal and the executive team
  • Someone who has experience leading and mentoring teams of educators
  • Someone with excellent communication skills
  • Someone who can build strong partnerships with key stakeholders including the school, community, educators, children, management & school executives
  • CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk – Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training)
  • HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training)
