The Manager is the lead communicator, manager, and champion of our services in the region. You will oversee our operations with coordination of employees and educators across four locations in South Queensland.


You will be responsible for:

  • Working pro-actively to market and promote Family Day Care as a rewarding career for early childhood educators. You will develop innovative recruitment strategies that align to our organisational values and will be responsible for coaching your team on these skills and strategies to recruit both educators and families.
  • Meeting KPI’s on educator recruitment and retention.
  • Developing strategic and program-level approaches to assist in achieving the purpose, values and operational objectives of our organisation.
  • Providing strategic advice and input to the further development of our services on a state-wide level ensuring consistency of service standards and operations.
  • Developing the culture and capability of our team to ensure we have the skills to take our services into the future.


The role requires some travel to our locations in Ipswich, Warwick, Kingaroy and Bundaberg and other limited travel as required.



You have a passionate and personal commitment to influencing the outcomes for children, families and community. Whilst you have a background in early childhood education and care you are able to use your business skills and experience to grow the business. You also have the ability to think and act innovatively about how we ensure quality outcomes and services in a regulated and complex environment. You manage budgets effectively finding ways to make the dollar stretch and meet your financial targets. You can demonstrate how you have done this in your previous roles.
