  • Support the emotional and social development of children.

  • Responsible Person (RP) position.
  • Support the Coordinator with the day to day running of the service.
  • This position is focused on compliance and supporting the Coordinator with policy, quality & improvement.
  • Help build those strong stakeholder connections with children, families, the community and school.
  • Contribute to centre programming, QIP / SAT, continuous improvement, and helping to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Be mentored and have opportunity to grow within your role and the organisation.
  • Network with other Assistant Coordinator’s fortnightly, where you can all learn off one another – chat on what has been working well, where you feel you need support in, and share ideas.
  • The school and OSHC have a great relationship – respectful and supportive of each other.
  • Service is loved in the community.

The essential information:

  • Exceeding service.
  • Licenced for under 260 children.
  • Runs before and after school care and vacation care.
  • Averages 50-70 children for before school care.
  • Averages 80 – 140 children for after school care.
  • Averages 50 children for vacation care.
  • Beautiful school layout and commented to be ‘architecturally superb’.

Essential:

  • Someone that is passionate in supporting and working with children.
  • Knowledge and an understanding of the NQF, National Law & Regulations, NQS, school aged care learning framework – My Time Our Place.
  • CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk – Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • HLTAID004 (or the upgraded 012) Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
  • Working with Children Check apples to this position.

Child Safety:
