The Centre
The centre is a new, purpose built service, in a lovely, quiet community in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide. They boast vast amounts of natural outside space and rooms with floor to ceiling windows that flood with light. This extremely well resourced centre provides a nurturing and welcoming family environment. Management is passionate about promoting a culture of equity and inclusion for their children, families and staff. They have a focus on delivering high quality programs and strive to create a warm environment with a strong sense of community by getting involved in local initiatives to ensure the families and children they support are thriving.
The longstanding management is extremely supportive of ongoing professional development for all staff. They know that communication is key in leadership roles and are on hand to support day to day operations and longer term goals.
With a new sister centre opening in Adelaide soon, there is opportunity in this role to progress beyond Centre Director in future.
The Opportunity
A rare position has become available for a Director to lead a professional team of educators and teachers, with a strong focus on being hands on with the team in a coaching and mentoring capacity. You'll develop an exceptional culture where staff are valued and families are receiving the best care in the community. The Centre is fully staffed with a highly capable team that desire the empowerment from their Director to be the best educators they can be. You'll also be working alongside an experienced Assistant Director to support day to day.
The Benefits
The Ideal Applicant
The ideal applicant for this role will have at last a few years experience working as a Director in a long day care setting. You will have a Diploma in Children's services or a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood (or ACECQA equivalent.) In addition, you will have an in depth knowledge of the EYLF and NQS, and a genuine passion for working with children.
You will be a supportive, hands on, visible Director with exceptional communication skills and intrigued by a new challenge!
