The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and supportive Centre Director to join our team. In this role, you
will ensure the safe and effective management of the childcare centre. You will be integral in
daily operations, staff management, and maintaining a positive and secure environment for both
children and staff. You will also contribute to the centre's success by fostering strong
relationships with parents, the team, and community leaders.

Responsibilities:
● Accreditation Management: Guide Banyan Park through its accreditation journey by
ensuring adherence to the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality
Standard (NQS), while developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain
compliance.
● Educational Leadership: Inspiring innovative pedagogical practices through dynamic
educational leadership, and support high-quality, play-based learning experiences,
coordinate educational programs
● Leadership and Team Support: inspire and motivate staff, mentor educators, onboard
new staff, manage staff performance, and identify service gaps to foster a collaborative
work environment.
● Staff Development: Identifying opportunities to develop staff capability, encouraging
professional development and growth.
● Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with families and community
members to enhance the centre's presence and reputation.
● Administration and Compliance: Maintain accurate records, utilise technology tools,
ensure compliance with national regulations, and communicate effectively with staff and
the community to ensure operational efficiency.
● Day-to-Day Operations: Operate the Centre within national guidelines, manage daily
tasks and staff activities, address operational issues, and step into various roles as
needed to ensure consistent service delivery.

You will hold:
● An ACECQA recognised teaching qualification, and/or Diploma (or higher) plus 4 years
sector experience.
● Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma
Management training.
● Clear Working with Children Check (or equivalent).
● Approved child protection training certificate.
● Current National Police Check.
● Fully Vaccinated for COVID 19

 

Our Ideal Candidate Has:
● Centre Management experience in an Early Childhood setting.
● Understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard
(NQS).
● Ability to drive and lead innovative and unique programming and practice for the team.
● Passion and dedication to building positive relationships and meaningful connections
with Early Childhood professionals, families, children and the wider community.
● Understanding of remote environments and can be adaptable and innovative in their
approach.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with parents, staff, and
community members, ensuring a transparent and inclusive environment.
● Competence in overseeing day-to-day operations of the centre, including staff
management, adherence to safety standards, and educational programming.
● A genuine enthusiasm for building strong community relationships and fostering a
collaborative environment where children and families feel valued and connected.
● Flexibility to handle multiple roles within the centre, from administrative duties to direct
educational support, adapting to daily needs with resilience and a positive outlook.
● An innovative approach to early childhood education, promoting play-based learning and
nurturing the intellectual and emotional development of children.

Desirable Criteria:
● Experience working within a rural/remote community.
● Experience with the Queensland early childhood education system.
● Experience in managing or contributing to the accreditation processes under the
National Quality Framework (NQF) and understanding of compliance requirements
