Sustainability – Paddock to Plate – RIE & Risky Play

We are seeking an Assistant Director with either a Bachelor of Education, Working towards a Bachelor of Education or an experienced Diploma qualified Educator in Early Childhood Education and Care. The role is full time and we are flexible to negotiate working day patterns. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving effective service business performance, ensuring high-quality outcomes for families, children, and our team members. Your responsibilities will include assist our Service Director in monitoring, planning, and implementing strategies in collaboration with all stakeholders. You will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and relevant legislation and regulations. We are looking for someone who embraces change and innovation, encourages continuous improvement, and is committed to their own personal growth and development in early childhood leadership. A high value for aesthetics and maintaining beautiful environments for children is essential.

The Role
 

This role of Assistant Director will assist the Director/ Nominated Supervisor to provide leadership and management to educators and staff regarding all aspects of the operation of the service in line with relevant regulations and procedures. There will be allocated off-floor day per week and opportunities to work across the Service as you guide and mentor your team. You will perform the role of Director/ Nominated Supervisor in the absence of the Director/ Nominated Supervisor. In this role you will have:

Orchard Early Learning Centre St Ives has an amazing outdoor play area, the Centre is spread across two levels, with defined Nursery and Preschool levels, the bright and airy rooms flow directly onto the outdoor learning environments, immersing children in our Paddock to Plate philosophy. The service operates from 6.30am - 6.30pm and is located on Mona Vale Road opposite Brigidine College, close to public transport and local street parking available
