The Centre
Based in Waverley, our client is a boutique community-oriented Long day care centre. They are dedicated to providing high-quality learning to their children, as well as emphasizing the importance of building strong connections with families, the local community, and their respected team.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development:
- Design and implement a school readiness curriculum that addresses cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Incorporate play-based learning and hands-on activities to engage children in meaningful learning experiences.
- Staff Training and Support:
- Provide ongoing professional development for educators on school readiness strategies and best practices.
- Mentor and support staff in implementing the school readiness curriculum effectively.
- Family Engagement:
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with families to support children's learning and development.
- Organize workshops and informational sessions for parents on how to prepare their children for school.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Implement assessment tools to monitor children's progress and identify areas needing additional support.
- Use data to inform instructional practices and make necessary adjustments to the curriculum.
- Community Collaboration:
- Collaborate with local schools and community organizations to create a seamless transition for children entering school.
- Advocate for resources and support services that benefit children's school readiness.
- Inclusive Practices:
- Ensure that the school readiness program is inclusive and meets the needs of all children, including those with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Promote an environment that values diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for every child.
What we need from you
- A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-assessed equivalent.
- NESA accreditation
- Proven experience in an Educational leader role within an early childhood setting.
- A deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to continuous improvement.
