The Hon. Sarah Mitchell, Since entering parliament in 2011, Sarah Mitchell has served on numerous committees and held a range of executive roles.
In 2017, she was appointed Minister for Early Childhood Education, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Assistant Minister for Education.
She was later appointed as Minister for Education and Early Learning in 2019 holding that role until 2023.
Sarah is currently the Shadow Minister for Education and Early Learning and Leader of the NSW Nationals in the Upper House. She also sits on the inquiry examining early childhood education and care sector in the state.
Georgie Dent, Chief Executive Officer of The Parenthood, is a best-selling author and former lawyer who is a regular guest on The Today Show and ABC News Breakfast. She leads Australia’s largest parent advocacy organisation representing more than 80,000 parents, carers and supporters. Georgie will share her deep insights on national policy, the evolving expectations of families and the cultural changes that are influencing early education across the country.
Abby Revill, Executive Officer of Christian Early Learning, brings more than twenty two years of experience across the early and middle childhood sector. She has previously served as General Manager for a large childcare provider where she guided a portfolio of thirty Long Day Care centres and Out of School Hours Care services. Abby will provide practical strategies for strong governance, the integration of Christian values and collaborative approaches that strengthen confidence in early learning services.
Together these esteemed speakers will offer a rich and forward looking discussion about where Australian early learning is heading. They will highlight the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead and outline practical steps that every childcare leader can take to build lasting trust with families and their wider communities.
