New Be You video series highlights wellbeing connections with the National Quality Standards
Be You offers a range of new free tools and resources to support early childhood education and care (ECEC) services in building mentally healthy learning communities. Among these is a video series that draws clear connections between Be You and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
Each video in the series aligns with a specific Quality Area of the NQS, offering insights into how Be You’s whole-of-learning-community approach supports high-quality practice and ongoing service development. The content features real-life examples and the voices of educators, Be You consultants and sector experts, bringing the connections between wellbeing, safety and quality standards to life.
The videos are particularly useful for services looking to:
- strengthen their Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) with a focus on mental health and wellbeing
- support professional learning aligned to current quality priorities
- engage teams in reflective practice using relevant, sector-informed content
- foster collaborative partnerships with families around safety, inclusion and wellbeing.
This video series helps services explore how Be You aligns with the seven Quality Areas of the NQS:
- QA1: Educational program and practice
- QA2: Children’s health and safety
- QA3: Physical environment
- QA4: Staffing arrangements
- QA5: Relationships with children
- QA6: Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
- QA7: Governance and leadership
The content is flexible and can be used to guide discussions during staff meetings, support team planning, inform individual development plans, and strengthen policies and procedures related to wellbeing and inclusion.
The videos are a valuable resource for services seeking practical, accessible ways to align wellbeing-focused practice with regulatory standards.
