Mayfield Childcare Limited: Board changes
Mayfield Childcare Limited (ASX: MFD) has announced that Lubna Matta has formally resigned from her position as Non‑Executive Director, effective immediately. The resignation follows the conclusion of an internal investigation initiated by the company on 15 August 2025.
The investigation was related to disclosures made by Ms Matta to the board. The inquiry was conducted with her cooperation and has now concluded. The company confirmed that no further enquiries will be instigated in relation to Ms Matta. A formal statement released via the ASX acknowledged her contribution and cooperation, thanking her for her service.
In response to the board vacancy, Mayfield Chief Executive Officer Daniel Stone has agreed to assume additional responsibilities as interim Managing Director, effective immediately. Mr Stone will serve in this dual role until a new director is appointed.
The company confirmed that the terms of Mr Stone’s appointment remain consistent with those outlined in its earlier ASX announcement, dated 24 February 2025. That announcement detailed the scope of Mr Stone’s responsibilities, remuneration structure, and governance expectations.
The board-level changes come as Mayfield continues to navigate a period of strategic transformation, following a series of executive realignments earlier in the year. The organisation operates 45 early learning services across Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.
