Hatcon Builders recognised for Sadliers Crossing Childcare at 2025 Brisbane Housing & Construction Awards
Hatcon Builders has taken home top honours in the Education Facilities up to $10 million category at the 2025 Brisbane Housing & Construction Awards for their outstanding work on the Sadliers Crossing Childcare project.
Celebrated as one of the standout education builds of the year, the Sadliers Crossing Childcare development was recognised for its high-quality design, attention to detail, and commitment to creating a welcoming and functional environment for young children.
Judges praised the project for delivering a purpose-built facility that meets the needs of both educators and families, while also incorporating thoughtful design features that enhance children’s learning and wellbeing. The building reflects a strong understanding of how physical spaces can support early childhood education and care, from safe, engaging play areas to functional and accessible educator facilities.

The 2025 Brisbane Housing & Construction Awards, hosted by Master Builders Queensland, brought together leading names from the state’s building and construction industry at a sold-out gala on Saturday 26 July at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. The event celebrated excellence across residential, commercial, and community construction, highlighting projects that demonstrate innovation, craftsmanship, and positive community impact.
Master Builders Deputy CEO and Awards Ambassador Sue-Ann Fresneda said all winners exemplified the skill and dedication driving Queensland’s construction industry forward.

“Each of our winners, and everyone who entered, has made a significant difference across the Greater Brisbane region,” Ms Fresneda said.
“In the case of Sadliers Crossing Childcare, Hatcon Builders has delivered a facility that will support children’s learning, safety and wellbeing for years to come.”

The win reinforces the growing importance of purpose-designed early childhood facilities in meeting community needs and supporting the delivery of high-quality early learning programs.
