Early childhood education leaders emerge with power and purpose on the Gold Coast

As early childhood professionals continue to lead, adapt and evolve, this year’s ACA Qld National Conference offers a timely opportunity to pause, reconnect and re-energise. With a focus on purpose-driven leadership, collaborative learning and sector-wide innovation, the 2025 event invites attendees to emerge stronger, together.
More than 1,600 early childhood education and care (ECEC) professionals have come together on the Gold Coast for one of the sector’s most anticipated annual gatherings, the 2025 Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland (ACA Qld) National Conference.
Held from 6–8 June at The Star Gold Coast, the conference’s theme, Emerging with Power and Purpose, champions leadership, innovation and renewed focus. It also creates a much-needed space for educators, centre leaders and stakeholders to reflect, recharge and connect meaningfully with peers and partners from across the country.
Hosted by ACA Qld, the three-day event brings together educators, centre owners, approved providers, policymakers, researchers and thought leaders in early learning. With more than 100 exhibitors and a dynamic line-up of keynote speakers and panel sessions, the 2025 conference delivers a rich blend of inspiration, collaboration and practical value.
“Our educators and leaders are navigating a time of incredible change and opportunity. This year’s conference is all about re-energising our collective voice, sharing knowledge, and exploring new ways to lead with intent and impact,” said ACA Qld President Majella Fitzsimmons.
In addition to powerful keynotes from both national and international speakers, the program offers tailored breakout sessions and workshops ideal for professional development and fostering dialogue around current challenges and future directions in ECEC.
Topics include leadership, workforce wellbeing, curriculum innovation, inclusion and regulatory updates ensuring every delegate leaves with insights that can be applied in practice and shared with teams.
A major highlight is the expansive early childhood trade exhibition, which not only showcases the latest in educational resources and technologies but also fosters new business partnerships and collaborations that enhance service delivery and quality outcomes for children.
Just as importantly, the conference provides valuable time for informal conversations, new connections and ongoing dialogue helping to strengthen relationships across the sector.
The ACA Qld National Conference is more than a professional development opportunity; it’s a celebration of community, commitment and the shared purpose that drives the early learning profession forward.
