A Dolly Parton Imagination Library has launched to support families from Queensland’s Beaudesert to encourage reading from an early age.

The third annual Premier’s Coding Challenge has been launched by Queensland Education Minister Grace Grace, with the opportunity for children in years three to ten to win $10,000 in prizes.

An interactive water bottle that helps children stay hydrated by engaging them to care for a virtual pet has launched in Australia. As children drink more water from the Gululu interactive water bottle, their chosen virtual pet grows and makes friends. At the same time, Gululu keeps parents informed of their children’s hydration progress through a connected smartphone app.

Spensley Street outside school hours care (OSHC) co-ordinator Lisa Heard describes deleting the quality improvement plan (QIP) for her service as “the best thing” she ever did, and an integral part of supporting her service to move from a rating of “working towards” to “exceeding” the National Quality Standards (NQS).
